The staff members were friendly and efficient, and the hotel is conveniently located right by the beach. Additionally, it's close to shopping, restaurants, and food trucks along the street.

The location is great.
We had reserved a room for 4 people. Because of a mistake at Moana Surfrider we had to be in 2 rooms, very far away. No one apologized.

Atmosphere and location top
Too impersonal and too big and therefore anonymous. The staff isn't very cordial, whether it's a yoga teacher or a pool boy.

The room was always super clean, and they even provided a toothbrush for me. the bed was king-sized, and I could see Diamond Head from my window 🏞️. the location of this place is awesome, right in the middle of everything on the strip.

The old world splendour of this hotel makes it the jewel of the Waikiki beachfront. To be greeted at the fabulous wedding cake step entrance with fresh orchid lais as you step out of the cab is an unforgettable welcome to Hawaii. The original section has been handsomely refurbished. In the verandah restaurant and the theatre like lobby -- everywhere you turn -- there are atmospheric glimpses of an elegant era of travel and occasion. Keep the camera handy.
For the noise sensitive: while front of hotel rooms in the original section are to me the most appealing, beware of the din of the adjacent sidewalk public entertainment which goes nonstop complete with techno beat till late. It's not insurmountable but do beware.
